Where is Belle Bateau?

There are several ways to track the adventures of Belle Bateau. We offer a few “near real time” and passive options below.

But remember, not all technology works all the time. And some of this technology may have built-in time delays. Plus, we may turn off our tracking devices if the power draw is too much, or because we are taking a break from big brother. Also, Belle Bateau may be somewhere on the water but the two captains might be elsewhere on land, or on the water in our dinghy Petit Bateau.

So follow us, but don’t holler if we end up being somewhere else.

    Belle Bateau has her own Facebook Page and Instagram account, both of which are called Sailing Belle Bateau. While these sites won’t be updated as frequently as our tracking technology, they will usually describe recent locations and photos of activities, both the fun and the mundane. So follow us on social media!

    If you don’t know about the website and app MarineTraffic, tighten your PFD straps and expect to be entertained for hours. MarineTraffic is a maritime analytics provider, which provides near real-time information on the movements of ships and the current location of ships in harbors and ports. Using AIS (Automatic Identification System) that vessels transmit, anyone can track boats that have AIS. Belle Bateau is registered with MarineTraffic as a USA Sailing Vessel, with MMSI #367669720.
